Welcome to My Blog

I am going to be writing each week on various topics. The focus of the topics will be randomly chosen and will most likely be inspired by the different things that come up in my sessions. Very often the information shared in a session can be of value to others, not just those in the room at the time of the session, and so I would like to share this information. Although will never reflect or identify any person in particular, it is the topic I will use. The work with my clients is my inspiration for writing and I would like to use this as a forum to teach all that I have learned over the years. Of course I have to say that what I share here is a compilation of all my learnings through the years. I do not claim to have scientific data or research to back what I write. I write from my own personal experiences with doing my own therapeutic work, my own education and training, and what I have learned over the years working with my clients. My overall philosophy is always "take what you need and leave the rest". While I am open to comments or even simple questions, I do reserve the right to delete any negative, derogatory, or insulting remarks that are made. I also cannot use this forum for online therapy. So if you need further assistance or would like to make an appointment, please feel free to send me an email and let me know what it is I can do for you and I will get back to you. I am looking forward to sharing this experience with all of you.

excellent site...answers a lot of questions and also puts day to day "stuff" in perspective. to me, "take what you need and leave the rest" goes hand in hand with "pay it forward" because if I have an abundance of good fortune or happiness I like to see if I can spread it around a little and that feeling comes from seeing the glass as half full.
Also interesting was the section on addictions or distractions. I think my addiction was making friends/fitting in. when I finally fit in with a group (which included consumption of alcohol) it was a feeling of belonging to something other than a dysfunctional family so drinking paired with being accepted. sound feasible?
